Program Details
Technologies like cloud computing, Big Data and the Internet of Things have allowed banks to deliver state of the art customer services to their customers while maintaining the market competitiveness required for winning and retaining business. This pathway will prepare students for analysing, formulating and implementing the diverse information technology solutions required in the banking sector. It will also provide students with understanding of the various technologies which underpin security measures.
The programme is the first of its kind in Oman and is specifically for computing graduates looking to gain the required competency to help fill a major skills gap within the Banking Sector.

IELTS 6.0 or equivalent
Note
IELTS is not required for enrolment at Majan University College, but with a valid IELTS Academic certificate, candidates can get exemptions as follows: IELTS 4.5 = 3 English modules exemptions from semester 1 in the foundation programme. IELTS 5.0 = 6 English modules exemptions in the foundation programme. IELTS 6.0 = 6 English modules exemptions in the foundation programme in addition to 5 English Modules in all Undergraduate programmes except English Language programme. IELTS 6.5 = 6 English modules exemptions in the foundation programme. IELTS 6.5 and above = 6 English modules exemptions in the foundation programme in addition to 6 English Modules in all Undergraduate programmes except English Language programme. IELTS 6.0 and above for English Language programme = 6 English modules exemptions in the foundation programme in addition to 3 English Modules in the Undergraduate level

You will need to get your General Education/High School diploma attested by the Ministry of Education (Oman) and provide a copy of the equivalency letter and present the original for verification. Undergraduate Entry Test All students must take the undergraduate entry test covering English Language, Mathematics and IT. Depending on the outcome of your test, you may be eligible for exemption from certain foundation and UG modules.
