Established in 2001, Ahlia University was the first private University to be licensed by the Government of Bahrain. The programme aims to provide students with sufficient knowledge to enable them pursue a career in management or marketing, and /or advanced further study. In order that students are able to accomplish this, the programme seeks to provide students with the analytical skills necessary to apply their knowledge in organisations in which they are employed, to acquaint them with changing techniques and practices in the professional world, to develop their competence in marketing strategies formulation and to enhance their communication skills.

This programme aims to help students to gain knowledge, background , ability , and hands on practice in the area of Mobile and Network Engineering .
Students are provided with both theoretical and practical knowledge . All practical sessions are taught in dedicated computer engineering and telecommunication engineering hardware laboratories while software-based practicals are taught in a computer lab equipped with modern programming and simulation software(Matlab/Simulink, Pspice, Java Eclipse, Cisco network Tracer).
Assessment is through written theoretical exams and in-lab practical exams. Individual or group projects form part of the assessment in the third and fourth year courses and are evaluated through written and /or oral presentations.
The first year and a large part of the second year are common to both engineering programmes, the third and fourth years are more programme-specific and include specialisation courses and the final project in addition to four elective courses including the two Cisco professional courses (CCNP-1 and CCNP-2).
The program is a four year full time Bachelor degree with a total of 134 Credit Hours, these credits include a graduation project and the medium of instruction is 100% English.
The programme aims to prepare graduates for meeting the informational challenges of the 21st Century enterprise in the information age. The programme focuses on providing students with the required knowledge and skills in the areas of business information and information technology that prepares students to pursue a career in business in general and business information system in particular.
The programme provides the student with the necessary analytical skills which will make them a competent employee in any type of organisations. The programme core skills include system analysis & design, E-commerce, managing enterprise systems, knowledge management, data base management systems, and computer systems. Additionally, other soft skills are also obtainable in this programme including communication skills, presentation skills and teamwork skills.
The Department of Mass Communication and Public Relations aspires to produce highly competent communicators who apply critical thinking to solve public relations issues and demonstrate ethical and professional behaviour.
Our aim is to nurture students and create socially responsible communication professionals capable of competently employing a broad range of available media and technologies for disseminating messages and images to the outside world.
The Department enables students to explore media-related issues from a variety of viewpoints with the aim of establishing a creative thought process which enables both inquiry and critical thinking.
