Studying at the International Study Centre will develop your confidence, boost your English language skills and give you the academic knowledge you need to succeed in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at the University of Sussex.

You’ll find everything you need to live and study on the University of Sussex campus. From inspiring lectures in our modern classrooms and labs to unwinding in cosy coffee shops, bars and restaurants. There’s also a supermarket, launderette, bank, bookshop, dentist, pharmacy, health centre and a whole range of sports and fitness facilities.

Ground-breaking research centres – including the Genome Damage and Stability Centre, the Sussex Centre for Migration Research and the Sackler Centre for Consciousness Science.
Historical resource centre – The Keep is just a short walk from the Sussex campus and is home to the Mass Observation Archive and Special Collections.

The International Foundation Year in Business, Media and Social Sciences is your route to a range of undergraduate degrees at the University of Sussex. It is a university preparation course that will give you the English language level, academic knowledge, and study skills you need to succeed in your degree. It is an excellent choice for students who would like a little more support with their studies, or who do not meet the entry requirements for direct entry into a degree programme. During the International Foundation Year your learning will be structured in the same way as University teaching. This ensures you receive excellent preparation for undergraduate study.
