The Creative Industries Pathway will introduce you to the underpinning principles and skills in media, art and design. You will have the opportunity to develop the appropriate knowledge and creative capacity so that you are confident in communicating your ideas.
Depending on your target degree, you will study either an arts-focussed or digital media focussed module.*
You will also take part in the Creative Project which will teach you to develop your ideas through the initial research stage through to the final piece of completed work, preparing you for studying creative industries or media-related topics at an undergraduate level.
This programmes is delivered by Solent Pathway Campus, a college of Solent University which is jointly owned by Solent University and QA Higher Education – a UK higher education provider. This programme is validated by the University and taught by Solent Pathway Campus staff.
*Please note if you intend to study a digital focussed degree at Solent you will need to be on a 4-year CAS to study the Introduction to Media module. All students on a 1-year CAS will study the Foundations for the Creative Industries module, regardless of target degree.
